Money Input

Currency amount field that groups digits as you type, follows the locale and stores an integer count of minor units.

c2-money-input is the amount field of a payments dashboard. Its value is an integer count of minor units (value="1050" is $10.50, and ¥1,050 in JPY), so an amount never passes through floating point on its way to your API. Set currency for the symbol and the number of decimals, locale (or a lang on the page) for the separators and the symbol position, and currencies to let the user pick the currency next to the amount.

Usage

Typing groups the digits and keeps the caret where it was; the fraction is padded when the field loses focus, which is also when change fires. A pasted 1,234.56 or 1.234,56 reads as 1234.56 whatever the locale. Amounts are positive unless min is negative; min and max are in minor units too and report rangeUnderflow and rangeOverflow. Read amount for the value in major units, and set currency-name to submit the currency code with the form.
